Teacher Water Festival Program Registration

You and your fourth-grade students are invited to participate in the Arizona Water Festival (AWF) Program occurring in your community. AWF is a water education program that is free for schools and classrooms to engage in both classroom activities and festival field-day activities. The water festival unit of study and the field day help students learn about water resources and Arizona’s unique water challenges. Over the past 25 years, 197,287 students and 7,536 teachers across Arizona have participated in AWF.

By participating in the program, your students will:

  • Engage in exploration of their local watersheds and water resources through interactive, inquiry-driven learning in the classroom.

  • Attend a fun day of water investigation and play at the water festival by engaging in hands-on learning at four stations discussing Arizona watersheds, groundwater, water sustainability, and the water cycle.

What should you do?

  • Register below for the water festival occurring in your community.

  • Sign up and attend the professional development workshops that will enable you to support your class’s engagement in water science and conservation. For more details, see our workshop webpage.

  • Incorporate the pre and post AWF curriculum into your classroom. This curriculum includes 3 lessons before attending the festival and 3 lessons after the festival.

Please register your class to participate in our Water Festival Program based on your region or district. If you are unsure which regional water festival applies to you, please reach out to one of our AWF Team members.
